Below you’ll find answers to the questions we get asked the most about professional pet sitting and dog walking services
Why should a pet parent hire an in home pet sitter?
Again, pets are always more comfortable and secure in their own homes. Our goal is to provide you with the least stressful options, for both you and your pets, that will allow you to enjoy your time away without worrying about your pets. Many pets suffer from anxiety when boarded, so staying at home in their own calming environment is more peaceful for them.
What services do you offer?
We provide services to assist with your pets when you need to travel, work long hours, have a late meeting, are recovering from surgery, or working from home but there is not enough time to walk the dog. We know that pets and their owners all have different needs. This is why we provide a variety of services to fit your situation, from dog walks, to care and feeding visits in the pet’s home. We even offer house sitting when your pets are traveling with you.
How does a client go about getting started?
You are welcome to call or email with questions. The number is 602-451-7118 and email is scottsdalelife@gmail.com. An intake form will be filled out and meet and greet scheduled. If you have an upcoming travel date, we strongly urge you to book your meet and greet sooner rather than later closer to your travel date, as services aren’t considered “booked” until payment is made.
Are there extra costs for services rendered on holidays?
We consider the following to be our major annual holidays: Easter Sunday, Memorial Day Weekend (Sat-Mon), July 4th, Labor Day Weekend (Sat-Mon), Day Before Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving Day, Day After Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Day After Christmas, New Years Eve, New Year’s Day. Do you care for pets that have aggression issues?
If the pet has aggressively bitten someone in the past, then we cannot provide service. That is too much of a safety issue for our pet sitters. If the pet is just skittish and growls around those he doesn’t know, then we may work with the client to see if a safe and comfortable pet care plan can be designed. Our sitter will interview the client and assess the pet to determine if this is possible. If additional visits are necessary to socialize the pet with our pet care provider then the client needs to be present at all visits and pay the normal service fee until socialized. If at any time our pet sitter or pet owner feels that it is unsafe to perform a service, we will reserve the right to discontinue service without notice.
Do you administer medications?
We are experienced giving oral and topical medications.
